A sneaky tenant who thought she'd got away with leaving her trash around the apartment has been caught red-handed after residents uncovered a major clue in the rubbish.

The culprit, known as Helena from unit 208, was named and shamed for dumping two garbage bags near the entry door of the unit complex.

Furious residents exposed her dirty work after discovering her name on the takeaway receipts she'd discarded - bringing the littering to an end.

In a petty yet amusing move, the residents stuck Helena's receipts to the wall, along with angry handwritten notes demanding she move her trash to the bin.

'Helena, stop leaving trash around making it seem like it is a different tenant,' one note read.

'Helena, pick up your trash.'

Another note, placed directly above the garbage bags, read: 'For Helena - unit 208!'

A resident living in the block shared the amusing picture on Reddit, along with the title: 'Second floor always has drama.'

'I might be crazy but anything I throw away with my name is ripped up to unreadable pieces. I'd picked up food last Saturday and the receipt had my name on it,' they said.
