No one knew who was dumping trash around the apartment… until residents discovered a clue inside garbage bags
A sneaky tenant who thought she'd got away with leaving her trash around the apartment has been caught red-handed after residents uncovered a major clue in the rubbish.
The culprit, known as Helena from unit 208, was named and shamed for dumping two garbage bags near the entry door of the unit complex.
Furious residents exposed her dirty work after discovering her name on the takeaway receipts she'd discarded - bringing the littering to an end.
In a petty yet amusing move, the residents stuck Helena's receipts to the wall, along with angry handwritten notes demanding she move her trash to the bin.
'Helena, stop leaving trash around making it seem like it is a different tenant,' one note read.
'Helena, pick up your trash.'
Another note, placed directly above the garbage bags, read: 'For Helena - unit 208!'
A resident living in the block shared the amusing picture on Reddit, along with the title: 'Second floor always has drama.'

Many weighed in on the post, with one saying: 'Not them going through her trash and digging out the receipts with her name. Helena's been caught in 4K,' one said.
'Oh this is my kind of petty,' another shared.
'Helena needs to start feeling embarrassed,' one suggested.
'I actually love this,' another confessed.
'This needs to become a management issue. Helena isn't going to step up,' one said.
Others suggested they would have taken matters into their own hands by dumping the garbage bags at Helena's front door.
'The way I would've dumped the trash on front of her door,' one said.
'Not me dragging it up to 208 and dumping it,' another shared.
'I'd take it up and put it on her front, and cut a slit in the bottom so that when they go to pick it up, it falls apart,' one suggested.

Others shared similar stories of finding random trash around their units.
'Someone in my complex was leaving trash bags in front of other people’s doors, and I almost did this too! It stopped though,' one said.
Meanwhile, one person revealed how they typically dispose of their receipts.
'I might be crazy but anything I throw away with my name is ripped up to unreadable pieces. I'd picked up food last Saturday and the receipt had my name on it,' they said.
'I ripped it up and then threw it away.'
