OnePlus Surprises The Market With Turbo 6 Phones With A 9000mAh Battery In A Slim Body
Smartphone batteries have witnessed rapid development recently, and OnePlus appears to be at the forefront of this race after it officially unveiled two new phones equipped with huge batteries with a capacity of 9000 mAh. What is noteworthy is that this is not a case of huge or thick phones, as the two phones are only 8.5 mm thick and weigh 215 grams.
The two new phones are the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V, and they are very similar in terms of design and basic specifications, with clear differences in performance and price. The price of the Turbo 6 in China starts at 2,300 yuan ($330) for the 12/256 GB variant, while the Turbo 6V starts at a lower price of 1,900 yuan ($275) for the 8/256 GB variant. The company is also offering an early order discount of 200 yuan on both phones.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 is the performance-oriented version, powered by a processor Snapdragon 8s Gen 4along with a set of auxiliary slides. Among them is the Fengchi Game Kernel that allows games to run at up to 165 frames per second to match the screen refresh rate, as well as a G1 chip for improved Wi-Fi connectivity, and a dedicated touch control chip that supports a sampling rate of up to 330 Hz.
In contrast, the Turbo 6V is based on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, and retains the touch control chip, but it lacks the gaming and network optimization chips. However, the phone includes a large evaporation chamber and several layers for heat dissipation, similar to what is found in the higher-end version.
In terms of memory, the Turbo 6 clearly excels, as it comes with options of up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 512 GB UFS 4.1 storage capacity, while the Turbo 6V is satisfied with a maximum of 12 GB LPDDR4X and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Both phones feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1272p with 10-bit color. The Turbo 6 supports a higher refresh rate of 165Hz, while the Turbo 6V comes at 144Hz.
The brightness of the two phones reaches 1800 lumens, with support for DC dimming and a high PWM frequency of 3840 Hz. The Turbo 6 also receives ProXDR, HDR Vivid, and Xreal certifications.
The most prominent element in the two phones is the battery, as it comes with a capacity of 9000 mAh with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, or up to 55W when using the PPS charger. OnePlus confirms that the Turbo 6 provides up to 10.6 hours of gaming or 22.5 hours of watching short videos on a single charge.
While the Turbo 6V offers similar performance with 10.5 hours of gaming and 25.6 hours of TikTok use. Both phones also support 27W reverse charging.
At the camera level, the two phones do not focus much on photography. The main camera is 50 megapixels with an f/1.88 aperture with OIS optical stabilizer and support for 4K video shooting at a rate of 60 frames per second. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera that supports 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second, along with a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor on the back.
Regarding communications, the Turbo 6 comes with a USB-C 2.0 port and support for Wi-Fi 7, while the Turbo 6V only supports Wi-Fi 6. Both phones support Bluetooth with aptX Adaptive, LDAC, and LHDC 5.0 technologies, without a 3.5 mm headphones port or support for microSD cards.
The two phones support IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance standards, while using an optical fingerprint sensor integrated under the screen. OnePlus did not reveal the type of glass used to protect the screen.
The two phones are currently available for pre-order in China through the official Oppo store, and the company has not yet confirmed whether they will be launched globally, although there are indications that the launch of the OnePlus Nord 6 phone is approaching at a later time.
