Kylie Jenner is taking fans way, way back.
The reality television star’s company, Kylie Cosmetics, is turning 10 in November and to celebrate the milestone early, she launched a new makeup collection inspired by her unapologetic and striking “King Kylie” era, a time when the star embraced bold hairstyles and a full-on beat as her signature glam.
In addition to unveiling a dedicated makeup launch, which officially hits the market on Saturday, Oct. 18, Jenner put in the work to embody her past self, which means she brought back one of her most memorable looks of all time.

Photos taken of the star on Oct. 11 show her debuting teal tips on her jet black hair, which gave us all the feels for the long-lost 2010s dip-dye hairstyle. Jenner, now 28, rocked the trend in 2014 (albeit on a shaggy long bob) among a slew of bold looks, including platinum blonde and baby pink hues as well as her infamous turquoise Coachella wig.
“I changed my hair color like once a week and cut my hair off and then put a wig on or put extensions in,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in May about her commitment to switching up her hairstyles back in the day. “It’s just a part of who I am…”

But she didn’t just leave it at her locks. Jenner also wore a tight tank top that read “King” with low-rise leather pants and open-toe heels.
On Oct. 13, Jenner continued her campaign with a promotional video serving as a part two to her 2019 “Glosses” commercial. Like she did six years ago, Jenner set the clip to Terror Jr’s song “3 Strikes,” which brought everyone back to 2016. “I don’t think people understand how iconic this is,” a fan wrote on YouTube.
Jenner launched Kylie Cosmetics in 2015 with a collection of lip liners and liquid lipsticks. She was 22 when she sold a majority stake in Kylie Cosmetics to Coty, which valued the company at almost $1.2 billion. The brand underwent a relaunch in 2021, a part of which introduced its products to the U.K., Europe and Australia.
In an interview with WWD’s outlet Beauty Inc.,the mom of two said she was “very emotional” about Kylie Cosmetics reaching its 10-year anniversary.
“I found my old phone from 2016 and there are these photos of me at 17, 18 years old, sitting on the factory floor creating my first eye shadow palette. I didn’t think that far into the future when I was creating the brand — I wasn’t thinking about 10 years later — so it is pretty surreal to be here.”

And while her brand is a decade young, she’s always thinking about the long haul, starting with who might take the reins one day. “After 10 years, I’m just still so excited to create,” she said in the interview published Sept. 18, adding that it’s her “dream” for her daughter Stormi, 7, to “take over” Kylie Cosmetics down the line. “I would love for this to be a legacy brand, and I’m working hard every day to set up that future.”
