Dame Deborah James has been made into her very own Lego character, and the mum-of-two gushed over her ‘mini me’ on social media as she thanked Lego for the sweet gesture
Not only has Deborah James recently been made into a Dame, she’s also been made into a Lego character.
The mum-of-two took to Instagram today, Tuesday 24 May, to share the exciting news as she posed alongside her “mini me”.
Beaming next to the Lego version of her in a snap, Deborah, 40, wrote alongside it: “All my Lego dreams have come true!!!!
“I adore Lego. @cj_brough the legend that she is told the chief fairy builder at @lego HQ just how much of a fan I was. And today meet mini me! But my head comes off my hands move, I mean we are wearing matching t-shirts!! Lego I love you!!”

In the photo, both Deborah and the Lego version of her are wearing tees that read “Rebellious hope”.
The design is by Deborah herself, and the tshirts have been released by PrettyLittleThing to raise money for charity.
Deborah also shared a series of snaps of all the heartfelt letters she’s received of late – many of which had arrived at her home without a postal address.
Posting to her Instagram, she said: “I think my parents have the best Royal Mail service ever. The attempted addressed letters are giving us life. How earth they are getting here is a little miracle.”
The letters all had little messages on the front, with notes such as: “Dame Deborah somewhere in Woking. Please try and deliver.”
Another letter shown on Deborah’s post read: “Dame Deborah living at parents house.”

Since announcing that she was receiving end-of-life care, Deborah has raised a staggering £6.5 million for Cancer Research UK via her Bowel Babe Just Giving page.
The heartbreaking statement Deborah issued earlier this month read: “The message I never wanted to write. We have tried everything, but my body simply isn’t playing ball.
“My active care has stopped and I am now moved to hospice at home care, with my incredible family all around me and the focus is on making sure I’m not in pain and spending time with them.”

She went on: “Nobody knows how long I’ve got left but I’m not able to walk, I’m sleeping most of the days, and most things I took for granted are pipe dreams.”

Speaking of her cancer treatment, Deborah said: “I know we have left no stone unturned. But even with all the innovative cancer drugs in the world or some magic new breakthrough, my body just can’t continue anymore.”
The BBC podcaster went on to ask people to “buy me a drink to see me out of this world” by donating to the Bowel Babe Fund.
